Arts Advocacy Awards

Presented in the spring, members nominate corporate and individual funders and devoted volunteers for QC-wide recognition. The Don Wooten Award is presented to one individual each year who has made an outstanding contribution to our cultural community.

The First Annual Arts Advocacy Awards were held in March 2007. Member organizations are eligible to nominate donors, companies and volunteers who have helped them. In addition, the first Don Wooten Award was created, to honor an individual who has furthered the arts in the Quad Cities.

The 2009 awards were:
Volunteer: Kristin Meyer

Corporate: Quad-Cities Convention and Visitors Bureau
Don Wooten Award: Bill Hannan

The 2008 awards were:
Volunteer: Lora Adams and Becky Gulling
Donors: Ruth Evelyn Katz and Connie Runge
Corporate: Modern Woodmen of America
Don Wooten Award: Tom and Karen Getz

The 2007 awards were:
Volunteers: Larry DeVilbiss and Eileen Eitrheim
Donors: Walter Neiswanger and Bridget Consamus
Corporate: Riverboat Development Authority and West Music Co.
